Just found this photo of me from 1997? during the NORBA Nationals downhill race at Mount Snow Vermont. That’s my Intense M1 and one of the first inexpensive long travel forks (6″!) from Zzyzx. That was a tricky fun section of the course where we dropped down a fire road and then cut off right over a small hump. The speed and trajectory caused you to float sideways and almost off the course. In the photo you can see the launch point to the left where the grass is kicked up. I’m a couple of feet off the ground at this point and drifting to the left. Wow that was fun…
